Illinois Department of Public Health Approved Training Provider

Iowa Lead Safety is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health as a lead abatement training provider.

24 Hour Lead Abatement Worker 

This course follows the EPA Model Curriculum and State of Illinois lead abatement rules and regulations.  Training focuses on the control, encapsulation and permanent removal of lead based paint, worker safety and health monitoring, including HUD and OSHA requirements.  Hands-on training and demonstrations are also part of the training class.

8 Hour Worker Refresher

This course is for individuals that are currently certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health as lead abatement workers. Training focuses on a review of abatement rules, techniques and safety.

32 Hour Lead Abatement Supervisor

This course follows the EPA Model Curriculum and State of Illinois lead abatement rules and regulations.  Training focuses on the control, encapsulation and permanent removal of lead based paint, including HUD and OSHA requirements.  This course also includes interpretation of inspection reports, worker safety and required health monitoring.  Hands-on training and demonstrations are also part of the training class.

8 Hour Lead Abatement Supervisor Refresher

This course is for individuals that are currently certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health as lead abatement supervisors. Training focuses on a review of abatement rules, techniques and safety.
